Dr. Maggie Anderson is originally from Toledo, Ohio where she grew up as the second oldest of six siblings. She attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-professional studies. She then completed her dental training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.
She stayed in Ann Arbor for three years of orthodontic specialty training and simultaneously obtained a Master of Science degree. During this time, she completed and defended her thesis, which evaluated the potential of specialized stem cells to regenerate alveolar bone. Dr. Anderson chose to specialize in orthodontics because it allows her to utilize her detail-oriented nature to transform smiles.
In her free time, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the restaurants of downtown Ann Arbor, exercise, and fitness, and going on long walks with her white lab puppy, Henry.
